The Big Up Uganda event was inspired by a visit to refugee camps in Northern Uganda. Hosted by model Adwoa Aboah and filmmaker Felix Cooper, notable guests were invited to bid on a series of prizes in order to raise funds for the charity. A Vogue experience sold for £4,500 to Liam Payne and Valentino bid £25,000 for a Tim Walker print featuring Karen Elson.
By the end of the night a staggering £345,000 was raised. All proceeds went straight to Save the Children’s mission to provide emergency healthcare to refugees, schooling, the reunifying and foster care process, psychological support and play camps to help children recover from trauma.
Our expertise was called in to create a 6m x 4m high definition LED video wall showing VT and live auctions, a custom-made ‘Save the Children' neon sign and neon strip DJ booth with L-Acoustics sound system, alongside production of interior and exterior lighting using a mixture of intelligent moving head lighting and uplighters.
